To create a project using a template project follow this procedure:
- Select the menu Plan->Open Project Template.
- Select a template from the list and click the 'Open' button.
- Select an activity to act as dragging pivot and drag the template unto the activity schedule.
- When the template is dropped the new project has the name of the template and the color of its activities is red.
- Select the new project and click the 'Edit' button in order to assign new values to the project's attributes.
If Multi-Project-Planner prohibits the template to be dropped at the location wanted, you can use 'brute force' by pressing the Ctrl button before you release the mouse.
The activities, which could not be booked because of resource conflicts, will now be turned into hot potatoes. The hot potatoes can be dealt with any time you wish.
