A plan consists of the activity schedule, the work hours schedule and the resource situation view.

 

In Multi-Project-Planner there is really only one global plan. What you see on the screen and what is called a plan, is actually a window into the real plan.

The 'plan' is a window defined by its name and the start and end dates.

 

The implications:

If you create a plan from July to August and a plan from August to September, the plans will share the month of August.

The plan covers the activity schedule for the whole year 2009.

• At the start of the 2. Q. Team 2 is removed and a 'Plummer' team is added.
• At the start of the 3. Q a 'Painter' team is added.

 

Deleting a plan does not mean that the data is deleted, only the window is deleted. If you want to delete the data open a plan, delete all data using the menu 'Edit->Clear all' and store the plan.

 

Multiple users

Only one user at any one time can edit the plan. The first user to launch Multi-Project-Planner gains write access and can change the plan. The following users can only read the plan.

Users having read only access are not notified when the user having write access exits Multi-Project-Planner. To gain write access you have to launch Multi-Project-Planner again.
