Definitions
A resource is an employee, an organizational unit, an extern partner or some machinery.
A resource is described by
- Name.
- Initials.
- Resource Category.
- List of competences offered.
- Weekly working hours schedule.
The resource category is optional. The resource category is used if you whish to monitor the demand and supply situation for particular categories of resources, f.ex all employees participating in bricklaying. See Resource Situation View for details.
The list of competences offered by the employee, is used by the automatic resource allocation routine when deciding which resources shall man which activities.
The list is a priority list, i.e the competence at the top is the competence the resource is best deployed as etc.
The resource schedule is the combined schedule for all resources for a given period. Upon the schedules the work hours for the resources are booked. Work hours, that are assigned to an activity, are colored blue.

The row header contains:
- The abbr. of the first competence, i.e. cof is an abbr. for concrete foreman.
- The initials of the resource.
- The name of the resource.
The width of the columns can be resized. If the columns are sufficiently wide assigned work hours will contain the abbr. of the work teams they are assigned to.
