Definitions
A work team is an organizational unit specialized in executing a specified job, i.e. the Concrete Team in our example is capable of doing the foundation jobs.
The resource requirements of a work team are defined in terms of competences, f.ex. the Concrete Team consist of:
- A concrete foreman. I.e. the team must be manned with a resource who possess the competence: Concrete Foreman.
- Three concrete craftsmen. I.e. the team must be manned with three resources, who possess the competence: Concrete craftsman.
The implication is that it is not necessarily the same resources that man the work team from activity to activity.
The activity schedule is the combined schedule for all the work teams for a given period.
On the activity schedule the activities belonging to the projects, are booked according the resources demanded by the activities and the resources supplied by the work teams and available space.
When an activity is booked on a work team schedule, the resource requirements of the work team becomes the resource requirements of the activity. You may change the requirements of the activity if needed.
Weekends are respected by the system, if defined. I.e. if you create an activity spanning from Monday to Monday next week, the activity will not demand any resources in the weekend.

The bars represent the activities. The color of the activities represents the projects. In this picture there are four concurrent projects in the pipeline.
On top of the activities the name of the activity is listed.
Within the activities, the initials of the allocated resources are listed. (Optional)
