Partial assignment

Partial assignment is supported for both manual and automatic resource allocation.


Automatic partial assignment

Automatic partial assignment requires that two conditions are fulfilled:

  1. The resources participating in partial assignment must allow partial assignment.
  2. A resource requirement must require partial assignment by stating the percent of a working day a resource needs assigned to the resource requirement.

The picture below shows partial assignment in effect. The engineer 'Nina Drejer' is assigned 10 % to three activities each day, while the concrete craftsmen are assigned full time.

Manual partial assignment

Manual assignment of resources to activities is done by dragging a duty onto an activity or resource requirement.

If the assignment is to be partial press the Alt key before releasing the mouse. This will activate a dialog, where the assignment percent is stated.

Manual partial assignment do not require that the resource allows partial assignment nor requires that the resource requirement want partial assignment.
